And today’s pick? Whether you’ve watched Violet Evergarden or not, this song will hit you right in the feels.
💌 Sincerely – A Song of Love, Loss & Healing
I’ll be honest—I haven’t watched Violet Evergarden yet. But I’ve heard so many people talk about it, and I absolutely love Sincerely. That’s why it made my ranking! My thoughts here are based on what I’ve found online—and, of course, my love for the song itself.
Composed by TRUE (Miho Karasawa), Sincerely is the opening theme of an anime all about love, loss, and healing. From the very first piano notes, you can feel the emotion pouring through. The heartfelt vocals and sweeping melody create a deep sense of longing. Even without knowing the story, this song just hits different.
🔥 Things to Watch Out For
Counting
If you tried playing #5 on this list, you’ll notice a similar challenge here.
Lots of empty spaces between notes make the rhythm feel irregular.
When I recorded this, I struggled whenever I wasn’t paying full attention to the counting.
Just take the first 4 bars—so many pauses!
💡 TIPS: To stay on beat, count internally or tap your foot to keep the rhythm steady.
LH Position
The first half (bars 1-8) stays around 7th-10th fret, while the second half mainly sticks to 8th-10th.
Not much shifting overall, but…
Watch out for string changes in bars 13-14—jumping from 1st string to 4th string can trip you up.
Pro tip: To avoid buzzing, always press the frets with your fingertips!
If you’re looking for a song that truly moves people, Sincerely is it. The melody, the lyrics, the raw emotion—it’s just on another level.
